Great PBS Story on LGBTQ+ Housing Equity

PBS covers the issue of discrimination in housing for LGBTQ+ older adults and features the Stonewall House in Brooklyn New York developed by SAGE. With no federal legislation supporting anti discrimination policies for the LGBTQ+ community in housing the LGBTQ+ community relies on Presidential Executive Orders, which vary in each presidency, and state legislation for housing and other protections.

California, Massachusetts and New Jersey are the only states in the nation with LGBTQ+ older adult legislation providing protections in long-term housing including training requirements for providers in affirming and welcoming housing and care.
