LGBT Senior Housing and Care Congratulates our 46th President of the United States Joseph R Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris on their historic inauguration. Their work began on inauguration day even before the celebrations had concluded.

One of the many executives orders President Biden signed shortly after his inauguration that roll back Trump Administration policies, enforces Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 to require that the federal government does not discriminate on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity.

Prior to inauguration day Biden selected Dr. Rachel Levine as Assistant Deputy for the Health and Human Services agency (HHS.) Levin is Pennsylvania’s top health official, a pediatrician, and the first transgender person nomination to a cabinet post. Dr. Levin has openly discussed the transphobia and harassment targeted at her.
